Barbie

Barbie is a fashion doll manufactured by the American toy company Mattel, Inc. and launched on March 9, 1959. Her full name is Barbara Millicent Roberts. She's a teenager attending high school and living her life with her family and friends. Her parents are George and Margaret Roberts and they are from Willows, Wisconsin. Barbie has three younger sisters: Skipper, Stacie, and Chelsea. She is in an on-off relationship with her sometimes boyfriend Ken. Over time, Barbie has had over 40 pets including cats and dogs, horses, a panda, a lion cub, and a zebra. She is also extremely talented and has had over a dozen careers. As a doll and character, Barbie has become a cultural icon.

Barbie Movies

Barbie has her own media franchise, with the most well known being a long series of computer-animated films that have been released since 2001. Barbie films were broadcast on Nickelodeon in United States, before they shifted to releases on streaming services and online platforms in 2017. These films are referred to as the "Barbie Cinematic Universe" and is one of the highest-grossing media franchises of all time. Barbie movies often feature Barbie as herself going about her normal life or they depict Barbie starring as a character. There are four different eras or stages of Barbie movies that are marked by different production studios and explore different storylines. As of now, there are 40 movies in the Barbie Cinematic Universe.
