Marisa posing and pointing at the Bean

The Bean

I've started to bring a disposable camera when I go on trips so I can take casual and spontaneous photos. It's always a risk to bring the camera through airport security (twice so far!), but I luckily haven't ran into any problems yet. I love going to develop my photos right after the trip since I never really know how any of them will look like. Here's a photo of me at a very unknown and lowkey sculpture in Chicago!

Calder's Flamingo

Who knew that a famous sculpture was going to be a stone's throw away from my hotel? This ginormous red sculpture (which only very vaguely looks like a flamingo...) looms above the sidewalk and makes for a great photo opportunity. It only seemed appropriate to attempt to pose like a flamingo as well. It also provides a great contrast to the tall black federal buildings surrounding it.

Lake Michigan

While trying to find the Bean, we got to walk along Lake Michigan. Lollapalooza set up was in full swing and people were invading the pathways. There are way more boats in Lake Michigan that I ever really realized. Don't be fooled, I was very much sweating in this photo.
